General Q & A

One major reason for consulting with a plastic surgeon in the first place is to determine whether you are a good candidate for the procedures you’re interested in.

Some good guidelines would be:

  • Good Health
  • Steady Weight
  • Seeking Surgery for the Right Reasons
  • Realistic Expectations

We use silicone gel implants, with a smooth exterior.
Inframammary: A short incision is made in the crease underneath the breast in the natural skin fold. This is the most common technique.

Periareolar: The incision is made around the edge of your areola, the darkened area around the nipple.

Like any other surgery, there should be a consultation with me to assess the size and position of the implants and make an assessment of your general physical condition. We do preoperative blood tests to see hemoglobin levels and clotting status. If necessary, we do a preoperative cardiovascular assessment

To start exercise it should be after 4 to 6 weeks depending on your evolution.

Eight weeks must pass after the surgery.

I recommend a change of implants at 15 years of age since over time the external capsule of the implants can degrade.

The first 2 weeks are the most important. Do not make any significant physical effort, stretching with the arms, always sleep on your back. Wear the postoperative bra day and night.

The decision to place the implants below the muscle or not, is independent of the future pregnancy in women. It depends on the characteristics of your chest, before the surgery. We evaluate each patient to decide which is the best option.

Whenever you have surgery, you will likely experience some discomfort associated with the procedure, and patients typically describe the discomfort associated with a breast lift as “moderate.”
A breast lift can be performed on adult women of all ages, even patients over 50. As long as individuals are healthy, nonsmokers, at a stable weight, and do not have any existing medical conditions, breast lift surgery may be a viable option.
Breast lift surgery is an excellent way to raise the breasts to create a more youthful silhouette. However, like any other surgery, its results don’t last forever. Skin continues to stretch as we age, and breasts gradually begin to sag
When you lose weight, the volume of fat in your breasts can decrease, which may lead to sagging. Of course, weight gain can also be detrimental to your breast lift results since it will affect the skin and other support mechanisms in the breast, also leading to sagging.

Unfortunately, the answer is yes. There is a possibility that your breasts will return to their previous size even after they’ve been reduced. The good news is that this is a rare occurrence among patients and can be prevented in most cases.

Your breasts can also grow back as a result of unhealthy habits, such as poor diet and exercise, and certain medications are known to affect the way your body produces hormones and its response to the production.

The best way to keep your smaller breasts at their new size is to take care of yourself and listen to your body. Eating right, exercising, drinking lots of water, and getting plenty of sleep are ways to keep your body healthy and your hormones in balance. By maintaining a healthy lifestyle, you’ll be able to keep your breasts at their reduced size and be better equipped to counteract any changes brought on by major life events.

The repercussions would be the scars, which with time diminish a lot. The biggest change is your lifestyle. Not only does your body change aesthetically, but many women become more active doing sports.

Yes, normally it is without implants, some patients benefit from adding them, but it is not necessary.

Lower Body

A lower body lift, sometimes called a belt lipectomy, combines a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) with a thigh lift. People who have lost a lot of weight, often through bariatric surgery, sometimes want to have a lower body lift to remove excess sagging skin.
You will need to take at least two weeks off of work and will have to restrict normal activity for 4-6 weeks. You will have to wait approximately 6-8 weeks before you can resume exercise. Swelling should begin to disappear in a matter of weeks and resolve completely in a few months

Brazilian Butt Lift

Definitely the fat transfer, we do liposuction of the areas that are needed and we apply the fat to the gluteus. So we decide the volume to apply and the shape we are looking for.
The short answer is, yes, you can fly after BBL. A BBL pillow, which is a specially designed foam pillow and takes the pressure off your buttocks, is an excellent post-surgical tool to help alleviate pressure when sitting is unavoidable.
After arm lift surgery, patients should sleep on their backs rather than on their stomachs or on their sides. To improve comfort, patients can prop up their arms with a few pillows during sleep.
